Zomick’s Bakery: Strawberry Desserts

The summer period is meant for enjoying in light and refreshing fruit desserts with rich aromas, colors and bold combinations. As one of the tastiest fruits strawberry offers a wide range of delicious recipes that will awaken your taste buds. The preparation process for these sweets is art by itself and it provides great satisfaction to those who consume them. Because now is the ideal time to use fresh seasonal fruits, Zomick’s Bakery has decided to share some of their most famous Zomick’s challah recipes with light, refreshing desserts.


Strawberry Fool is the first recipe that Zomick’s kosher bakery presents to their loyal readers. This crazy fast and crazy good fruit dessert is originally from England. In addition to strawberries, which are now in season, you can use any other fruit like blueberries, cherries or even one cranberry. All you need to do is wash and dry the strawberries, and then remove their stems. Slice half of the strawberries and put them in a bowl. In a blender add the second half of the strawberries, add 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon rind and 1 to 2 tablespoons powdered sugar, depending on how sweet you want it to be, and how sweet the strawberries are. Mix the blended and chopped strawberries. Using a whisk mixer make the cream. Make sure it is not too sturdy. Add yogurt, condensed milk, juice of 1/2 lemon and 1 teaspoon grated. Again mix all in the blender to get a nice smooth texture. Stack two cups or bowls of berries and cream on the top and leave it to cool in the refrigerator until serving. The next time you’re craving for sweet and you have 30 minutes to spare try this delicious Zomick’s treat.

Strawberry Cubes is another one of Zomick’s bakery seasonal desserts that for sure will win over your heart. This is one of the Zomick's collection of sugar-free item. Not only is this dessert extremely easy to make, but it is also mouth-watering delicious. In a bowl add milk and deep the dry biscuits in the milk. You will need around 15 dry biscuits, but of course it all depends on their size. Next on this Zomick’s bakery chefs explain the preparation of the white cream. In a pan pour milk and add milk, flour and coconut oil. Stir everything and make sure it is smooth. Pour a bit hot milk in a bowl with flour, mix it up and put it back in the pan. Continue cooking on low temperature and stir with wooden spoon, not allowing to form bumps. Next add one spoon butter and mixing the cream let the butter to melt and bind with the cream.
