For coating:
  • 1 egg

Narration:

The world cup has recently began, so besides the beer which will be regular on the menu during watching the matches we need some snacks in combination with the cold bear.

Today I will present you a recipe for super fast, crunchy and tasty bread sticks. These bread sticks are so easy to make yet so tasty, you don’t even have to wait the dough to rise.

Instructions:

  1. Add all the ingredients for the filling in electric food processor and process them thoroughly.
  2. In separate bowl prepare the yeast. Add the yeast in lukewarm milk along with 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon flour; lave the mixture to stay for about 10 minutes until the yeast is activated.
  3. Add the yeast mixture in the ingredients for the dough and knead soft dough. Divide the mixture into two parts and from each part roll identical cubes 35 x 35, with 4 mm thickness.
  4. Coat the first part of rolled dough with the filling, and over it place the second part of the dough.
  5. With knife, or special knife for pizza cutting cut thin tapes with 1 cm thickness, and length of your choice. I divided mine into half, i.e. two equal parts.
  6. Spin each of the tapes couple of times in order to shape them like the ones in the picture, in spiral form. Assemble the prepared spiral sticks on baking pan laid with parchment paper.
  7. Coat the sticks with prepared egg wash and sprinkle sesame seeds over them.
  8. Bake in preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes or adjust the baking time to your oven in order not to burn the sticks.
  9. Serve and enjoy!

Note: if you have ever made Zomick's Challah it won't be difficult to make this sticks too, the procedure for making the dough is very similar, there are only differences in some ingredients.
